Every song is a surprising mix of buzzes, rhythms and sharp lyrics. They kind of have a Late of The Pier vibe about them, but without the parody. Their songs sound more serious, more important. And virtually undiscovered so far judging by their myspace hitcount (10,452).
That will surely change with songs this good.

MENOMENA

Link : Menomena

Really new sounding band- one song "Wet and Rusting" stands out, reminds me a bit of Friendly Fires. Lots of instruments, layered vocals and distant rhythms. Other songs are more traditional but still cool. Vocals remind me of Deathcab in places.

Also cool link to site they have on their myspace:
muxtape.com/
I just really liked the minimal design on this site. Haven't had time to check out any of the tunes on there yet. UPDATE: Just checked out some of the tracks and have heard Amanda Palmer before on Mark Riley I think, there are some good tunes on this link.
